# Payment Method Types

> Detail on the polymorphic payment_method structure for Sellers.

Each entry in the `payment_method` array maps a payment method type to a specific provider and its merchant credentials.

## Structure

The `payment_method` array uses a polymorphic `detail` structure. The shape of the detail object depends on the `payment_method_type` field.

| Field                 | Type          | Required | Description                                                          |
| :-------------------- | :------------ | :------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `payment_method_type` | string (enum) | Yes      | The payment method type: `CARD`, `APPLE_PAY`, `GOOGLE_PAY`, etc.     |
| `detail`              | object        | Yes      | Type-specific detail object. Contains either `card` or `wallet` key. |

### CARD type

**Path:** `detail.card.provider`

| Field         | Type   | Required | Description                                                          |
| :------------ | :----- | :------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `id`          | string | Yes      | The payment provider identifier (e.g., `CIELO`, `ADYEN`, `STRIPE`).  |
| `merchant_id` | string | Yes      | The merchant ID assigned by this provider for this seller (MAX 255). |

### APPLE\_PAY type

| `id`                             | string | Yes      | The wallet provider identifier (e.g., `APPLE_PAY`).                 |
| `merchant_id`                    | string | Yes      | The merchant ID assigned by the wallet provider (MAX 255).          |
| `payment_processing_key`         | string | Yes      | Base64-encoded .pem content for the payment processing private key. |
| `payment_processing_certificate` | string | Yes      | Base64-encoded .pem content for the payment processing certificate. |
| `merchant_identity_key`          | string | Yes      | Base64-encoded .pem content for the merchant identity private key.  |
| `merchant_identity_certificate`  | string | Yes      | Base64-encoded .pem content for the merchant identity certificate.  |
| `merchant_identity_password`     | string | Yes      | Password for the merchant identity certificate (MAX 255).           |
